Preparing for Installation

Preparing for Installation

Absolutely! We typically install the fence about 6" to 12" within your property line, but we're flexible to your specific needs.

Most of our installations in Fort Wayne take less than a day, depending on the size and complexity of the project.

We offer several solutions at Amerifence:

  1. We can haul the soil away from your property.
  2. We can relocate the soil to a different part of your property.
  3. We can conveniently place the soil near the posts. These options will be discussed with you during your Indiana property estimate and included in your contract.

While Amerifence will take care of notifying all "public" utilities such as cable, phone, gas, electric, water, sewer, etc., homeowners are responsible for identifying "private" utilities like sump lines, sprinkler lines, invisible fence lines, and private electric or gas lines.

To ensure a smooth installation, please:

  1. Identify and mark all "private" utilities.
  2. Clear any obstructions along the fence line, such as firewood or decorations.
  3. Detach and safely store any climbing plants or lattices.
  4. Secure all pets for the safety of our team and your furry friends.

Definitely! We continue to offer fence installation services throughout winter depending on the weather conditions.

Yes, it is vital for homeowners to be present during the initial 30-45 minutes of the installation. This allows you to join the team leader for a property walkthrough and discuss any concerns about the location of underground utilities, property boundaries, and fence placement. Our goal is to get the hole positions and fence installation perfect on the first try.
