Preparing for Installation
Preparing for the installation of your new fence is just as important as the installation process itself. Let’s cover some key information you should be aware of before we arrive at your property.
What to Know About the Installation Process
We typically install fences anywhere from 6 to 12 feet off the property line. However, we can adjust the distance inside the property line per the customer’s preference.
Most installations can be completed in one day, depending on the size and complexity of the project.
There will be dirt left over from the installation process. We’ll do one of three things with it:
- Remove it from the property
- Relocate it to another area of the property
- Leave it by the fence posts
You can discuss these options with your designated fence consultant during the estimate stage.
Our team will call to get all public utilities set up, but homeowners are responsible for getting all private utilities set up.
Here are some steps you should take before we arrive to install your new fence:
- Ensure all private utilities are clearly marked.
- Remove any debris or other obstacles from around the existing fence. This includes any decorative attachments.
- Secure any animals on the property to keep our workers safe.
We install fences year-round. However, if weather conditions are severe, we will delay the installation until conditions improve.
Yes. We ask you to be on-site while we install your fence. That way the project won’t be delayed if you or the installers have any questions. But don’t worry—most installs only take about an hour to complete.
